Whats the secret to getting the EPG to work in RC1?

I used to have it working to some extent in earlier versions but this time nothing in any channels.

Hi

Has anyone noticed that RC1 does not appear to be implementing the commercial skipping option when comskip files are present (and the option is turned on)?

datagrafx, I have no trouble with EPG at all with RC1, it works very well. Just check that the card(s) are set to grabEPG. One of the patch's that mcraenz submitted allowed you to turn off EPG grabbing for cards although the option is ON by default.

Anyone know of any workarounds to the Powerscheduler issue in Vista? I'm using TV Server RC1 and MP RC1 and there is (still) a bug where the Powerscheduler doesn't seem to register itself quite right in Vista, that it will go into standby even if you are using the computer. You also can't use the default standby with Vista either, because recording doesn't prevent the computer from standing by.

I see there are some bugs present in Mantis for a fix by RC2, but it'd be nice if anyone has thought of anything in the mean time.

quick question. how come my freeview hd stb has a full EPG, but media portal can only show current and next?

Also, I posted a question in the online videos thread about getting tvnzondemand added to the plugin Support for a site request thread could be interesting

This is because MediaPortal doesn't support MHEG5 which is what freeview uses for the full EPG. Normal DVB epg only caries Now and Next

your program detects a new version (1.5), and then opens up my browser linking me to the newest download which is still 1.4, i'd love to give it a try but i'm unsure how i'm meant to get version 1.5
