Still getting choppy TV3 & C4

Vista, aver pcie speedy, PDVD8, EVR enabled, acceleration on.

All other chanels fine, tv3 & c4 ar just super choppy, about every 1.5-2sec is a .5-1sec lag

Aerial alignment is almost perfect, all sig stregth/qual is 100% for all chans.

CPU usage is 10ish% on all chans too.

If I preview TV3 & C4 in server config neither are laggy.

here is a chop from my log after i change to TV3 chan

Was Attack of the Clones in HD? It didn't look it to me.

I only watched it for 1 minute, looked HD to me. Also had 5.1 sound working when it was playing.

@Growler: Pay no attention to sig/quality, every driver reports it differently so it can't be relied on.
Can you delete your tswriter log then do a preview of some channels then attach the newly created tswriter log.

All done.

deleted old, started MP, watched chan 1 for 10 secs then went to Chan 3 for 10, then to C4 for 10, then back to TV1, quit. New tswrriter log attached.

I hope i have done it right, only been using a TV card and MP for a few days

Growler: Just in case my recent experience can help....

I had my UHF antenna installed last Friday and had the problem that I could get the Freeview HD/ tvCentral channels fine, but none of the other channels gave me a picture that could be watched. When I looked in my TsWriter.log file I had the exact same output, that is, A LOT of "Continuity error..." messages.

It turned out that my problem was the piece of Coax from the wall socket to the TV Card was faulty. After replacing the cable, the problem went away. I was very pleased it turned out to be something that simple.

it was a brand new run of cable >.< direct aerial to Tuner card in back of PC.

the weird thing is, if i open server configuration, preview tv3 or C4, and make it full screen on my LCD, its fine. Not the optimum way to do it by any means, but thats what makes me think its not my reception or input to the actual DVB-T card

Hi all

Been searching through the settings of MP and searched through the Forum, but cant find anything, but it must be something very simple

At the moment when I record something(lets say One News). THe recordings are fine, its in its own folder ... however when you go into Recorded TV, select the folder, they are all listed, but its impossible to tell whch related to which day. So is it possible to have it display the date on which it was recorded?

Having the same drama with the Olympics. If I record segments within a 3 hr block of coverage, I get 3 blocks with the same name, but no idea which is which (eg if one was recorded one hr after another)

On a related note, does anyone know of an easy way to edit the entries (title) within MediaPortal (eg without going in SQL?)

thekiwi:

From memory, In the Recorded TV screen, change the sort option to date. It will then show you the Date of the recording and the duration.

Have you used Graphedit to see if there are any differences between preview mode and MP in the codecs being used?
