Is it purely a matter of updating the SVN i'm using?
Yep. I've seen this problem a short while ago.

I'm using 17345. I can't record either at the moment. I tend to get 2 0 byte files. In recorded TV.

What semi stable svn is everyone using?

Thanks omen, i have tried your suggestion and no success. I reinstalled media portal into C:\MediaPortal and altered the irremote.ini file accordingly but now instead of opening media centre as it used to it now does nothing when the green power button is pressed.

you seem to have done everything the same as me, i'm not sure exactly whats going on, but i'm building a new media pc again in a week since the old one got stolen I'll be going through the whole process of setting up that green power button again so hopefully if i've missed something i'll be able to help you more.

edit. you're not using the blaster plugin or anything similar are you?

@Handya
Thats good news, I can't even get MP standalone to pick up any channels with my HVR-3000. I have to input analogue manually which work great and have tried DVB-T but keep getting errors. I have also tried playing a recorded snipet but that wont even start. TV-Server does pick up all the channels but I am left with the frozen image when trying to watch. I tried with both the latest SVN's last night. Never mind, I have it working in DVBViewer and Chch isn't live yet I only get loops so I'm in no hurry. I just like playing with the new builds in hope it will be going.

Hi everyone:

Hope I'm in the right forum.

I live in Wellington (Churton Park), and have got MP setup with a Hauppauge MCE-150 TV tuner. I'm trying to tune into TV1 (via FTA aerial on my roof), but I just can't seem to get a signal or it's very blurry and sonwy. I tried plugging the aerial directly to my TV and it's OK, but just doesn't seem to work in MP. Whenever I bring up MyTV MP even reports no signal detected for TV1.

Anyone has any ideas what could be wrong?

Thanks.
