Default Change resolution at MP launch

Is there anybody who has a smart idea, how to automatically change the screen resolution, when launching MP?

Here is an old plugin made by jadz from 2005. Have a look at the thread, if it does what you want. Sources seem to be still available on sourceforge. Might be necessary to make some changes to get it to work.

on page 3 of the thread there is also a hint for a freeware plus a little makro.

I use multires http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/multires.shtm and then set up the following batch file to start mp, this changes the resolution for MP and then resets it afterwards.

"C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\multires.exe" /800,600,32 /exit

start /w mediaportal.exe

"C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\multires.exe" /restore /exit

Just put the multires.exe file in your mp folder and adjust the res (i'm on 800x600, 32 bit colour) to suit.

Hope this helps

If you use an ATI-GPU then you can use the ATI Catalyst driver and create Profiles including Desktop-Shortcuts that change the resolution and launch MP afterwards. That's what iam doing at the moment but i would greatly appreciate if MediaPortal could switch the resoulution itself.
