Default A few first timer questions

Hi all...I'm just after some info regarding the following:

1) How do I input details about my music, videos and DVDs? Can I manually update it, or is all done via the Imdb thing?

2) If it is done through the Imdb database, how can I name my files so they are updated correctly?

3) How do I add a picture of say - a DVD cover - to a file's folder so that when it loads in MP it displays properly?

4) Does the TV section only do captured Live to air tv? Because I have several TV series on DVD that I have ripped to my PC, and would like a separate section for the TV shows from the Movies etc etc. All I can think of is just adding a new folder called TV to the "My Videos" section....but I'd rather have a Movies, TV, Videos menus structure.

In short is there a guide somewhere where this sort of information is available to people like me?

I have looked (though I feel probably no hard enough) so if it's obvious I apologize.

Any help in regards to this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

A few answers:
1. From the MP Configuration tool, you can edit/change database values.
3. If the whole folder is one movie, you can add folder.jpg. If not, add moviename.jpg.
4. Look at the seperate plugin for TVSeries. Great plugin.

Ah cool....after I posted my thread I was mucking about and I found the database editor so I have that under wraps.

I'll have to check the TVSeries plugin out. I am having problems attaching pictures to iso's however and as there are 2 files involved with an iso (the small one Daemon tools uses to load it up, and the bigger one with all the data on it) they are both visible in MP. Not big problem, just dosnt look right with 2 files for one DVD. Might confuse my not so smart flat mates. lol

Thanks for the help anyway!

Cheers

Once you have all the DVD's scanned and entered into database, when you open MP Movies, left arrown takes you to view menu, change from shares to title, now should have 1 file showing for all your files.

Regards
