ffdshow doesn't work

hi everyone,
I just bought a new pentium IV with HT 3.2 GHz. I installed windvd and mediaportal on it. I also installed ffdshow and configured raw video to all supported. I have the OSD checked too.
While playing any video be it dvd or tv or any file ffdshow doesn't kick in. OSD doesn't show up. This is frustrating. I had gone through the same problems with my old computer.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP.

There are several recent posts with details of how to get ffdshow to work with TV, DVD and videos - I suggest you do a search for them as I am sure you will find the answer there? It seems that the particular version of ffdshow used is an important consideration..... :?
