FireDTV DVB-S2: unable to create graph for this device

Hello guys,

after spending a whole day and night on this issue i think i need your help because i was not able to solve it myself.

MP version: 2.3.0 stable OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit

The Problem:

When i go into television tab under configuration and i add my FireDTV DVB-S2 device, mp adds it but says that it is "unable to create graph for this device" so when i get inside edit i got no AutoTune.

What i've discovered:

- Installing the drivers (BDA) from cd also install the mainconcept codecs, beside that i still get the problem with both cd drivers and the most updated ones on web
- Tryng to render a graph with graphedit i discovered that if i try to connect the "Microsoft DVBS Network Provider" to the bda tuner of the tv card they cannot agree on a connection, the only way is to use the "Microsoft Network Provider", i know this is weird because the card is a dvbs but this way i can get a connection network > tuner > capture and do a pin render from there getting a full working graph.
- I've tryed modifing the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file under c:\programdata\team mediaportal\mediaportal using the graph that i was able to build in graphedit, so i've changed the "Microsoft DVBS Network Provider" to "Microsoft Network Provider" and changed the pin connections accordingly to the graph i was able to build; this one in theory should have worked, but still... same error.
- I've tryed installing all types of codecs, i did also a format and a clean install of vista: no luck.
- Updating MP to the latest SVN didn't solve the problem.

I'm really lost now and dunno how to fix this problem, if anyone of you guys got any idea or do know how to solve this... please help me thank you!

I suggest you give a try to TV3.
