Country: | Hi, I had installed MediaPortal on my Athlon AM2 3000+, NVIDIA 6150/430 chipset PC and found that Hibernate had stopped working. Uninstalled MediaPortal but Hibernate still did not work. As Hibernate is pretty helpful for me, I did fair amount of browsing to see how to solve the problem. Did not get a straight-forward solution page. Finally hit upon the solution. Here it is in case others need the info: Reinstall DirectX. This requires you to trick Windows into believing it has an older version of DirectX by modifying a registry key. See http://forumz.tomshardware.com/games...pict45097.html When I tried this trick I could not reinstall DirectX 9.0c from a setup file that I had, but I was able to install DirectX 9.0b. That's it. Now Hibernate works Ok for me. BTW MediaPortal folks, I was quite impressed with the software. Great work!! Unfortunately it messes up right portion of my screen when showing Videos in Full Screen mode. As I still am not ready to set up a regular Media Center I plan to have a relook at MediaPortal when I am ready. Hopefully by then the Full Screen mode problem will be fixed. Regards A Student of Life |
