HD TV lacking

Hi.

I have some problem getting MP 2.3.0 to use the Core AVC codec.

The codec are shown in MY TV propperties(and selected) but wen i run the graph edit it is not connected to AVC but use Nvidia or MPV codec.

I have tried to unilstal AVC and re install but are not able to ge MP to connect,

Hope somebody can help me for i must be doing something wrong here.

sounds like you have simply not tuned an hd-tv (h.264) channel

Hi thanks for your reply

When i tune on my Floppy selector card i get a Discovery HD channal. Is the only channal there lacking all the otheres are okay.

If i watch the Discovery on the Fire DTV software i dont have the lacking so it must be the MP there dont find my codec (i think )

what do you mean by "Floppy selector card " and "lacking"?

if you tune a HD-TV channel which uses mpg2 then MediaPortal uses the configured MPG2 codecs (purevideo in your case)
if you tune a HD-TV channel which uses h.264 then MediaPortal uses your configured h.264 codec (coreavc).

Thanks for your reply.

My mistake Not floppy Selector but Floppy DTV card. (I use it with a selector TDC card in denmark)

With lacking i meen that my HD TV playback is not smooth, its like it comes in steps. I dont know if Discovery HD sending in H264 but will see if i can find out.

If i play H264 from my harddrive i dont have any problems.

But as i understand on your post there are no settings exept in TV properties, so it must me my signal there not are in H264.

@rebreather if you post logs (created with MediaPortal Debug shortcut) of such a lagging / stuttering LiveTV case, then we could have a look

Sorry for the late reply.

I was running the test tool when MP was on the HD channal so i hope you can see whats wrong, I dont understand much of those logs myself

that log doesnt help a bit, because it seems like you didnt follow my (maybe too short) instruction posted befor.

1. please dissable your imon-LCD display
2. start MediaPortal with the "MediaPortal Debug" shortcut in your start menu
3. go to mytv
4. tune the channel which makes problems
5. close MediaPortal
6. attach the eported log zip.

thats the only way to create proper logs.

Just made another one and hope its better
I turned external displays off in my plugin, closed down imon remote controller and made the log as you told me

seems lik that thing called "reclock" is not working properly. i would remove it and try again.
