Default Live Streaming

I'd like to know if i can have somewhere on MP a shortcut to an asx file.
Like this, here is a 24x7 live streaming:

http://www.tbn.org/watch/media/tbn500.asx

So, on "My TV" or somewhere else i would have a shortcut to watch it on full screen, like any other cable channel.

Any sugestion?

Try adding it in through MyRadio.

Goto fullscreen - on a MCE remote it's the red button.

You can press 'x' to goto fullscreen; press [ESC] or 'x' again to return. Please read this: http://www.team-mediaportal.com/dokuw/controlling .

Regarding your question which card/remote to buy:
I'd go for the Microsoft MCE remote, and a Hauppauge PVR-based TV-card (if you're using analog TV). Look at the PVR-150MCE and PVR-500MCE, both are supported by MP. Both the remote and the card will work with MP, if you're running either Windows MCE or Windows XP Professional.

Kind regards,
Michel

Hey; two more questions came up on my mind.

a) My PC is in my bedroom and the TV in the livingroom (downstairs).
How does it work? What else do i need?

b) These hauppauge TV tuners have TV input and even if i have the PC next to my TV, i also need a video card with TV output?

Sry for these dummie questions, i'm new to this media center stuff

My System

Question Can't see streaming TV

I can't get the streaming TV to display on my system. I can hear the sound, but instead of the video, I get the visualization (or blank screen, when trying it with visualization disabled).

As an example, I used the streaming channel mentioned above in this post, first trying to load it in Windows Media Player, to confirm that the link was valid and working on my computer. No picture in MP, though.

These are the settings I have used when adding the streaming TV to "My Radio" in MP configuration:

Type: Stream
Name: A TV channel
Frequency: N/A
Genre: TV
Bitrate: 0
URL: http://www.tbn.org/watch/media/tbn500.asx

(For other channels I have tried to add, I have entered the bitrate, without any improvement of the results...)

I use MP 0.2.3 with the default skin.
What am I doing wrong here? Any tips would be highly appreciated!
