Country:  |  MCE remote and NOT starting vista media centre Hi all, I finally got my MCE remote last night and had a quick play with it and MediaPortal on my Vista Ultimate HTPC. Straight away I hit a major annoyance. When pressing the "windows" key to take MediaPortal to the home menu it would also start up MediaCentre. To stop this I went into services and disabled the four MediaCentre services that run (and then killed the running processes). This worked great. My question is, does MediaPortal need any of those services running? Sorry, I can't remember the names now, they all had MediaCentre in the name though. Thanks. Bob. |
