| Portal Member | i was thinking about this too. there are a lot enries about problems with video cards.....but not in my case. everything works fine till i put the terratec into the pci slot. but i dont believe its just the card. there are too many people in here who got it running with the 1200 dvb-c. at least with some tricks.......but all of them do not work on my system. somehow i think its the combination with som other hw......maybe via chipset and nvidia card and terratec.......ahhhh help |

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Herman van Eijk\MceStandbyTool] There is a dword value called "BlankScreen". Change this to 0 to disable the blanking. Please report if this helps. It looks like MST is unable to detect MP is loaded, possibly the blanking needs some tweaking for specific situations. Quote:
This should be fixed in the next release, I will check that. The auto logon will not be restored when MST is uninstalled. Quote:

When using the remote its not the MediaPortal process that initiates the suspend. This way MST can close MediaPortal in a neat way, giving it the opportunity to finish everything it was doing. When suspending from the MP menu its MediaPortal thats initiating the suspend. Now MP cant close because its waiting on the suspend command to be finished. This does not happen because MST is trying to close MP during the processing of this suspend command. This situation is what we techies call a deadlock. Two processes are waiting on each other and will never come out of this. After a timeout MST will kill MediaPortal in a less friendly way. Is this giving you troubles? If so I can contact the MP team to figure something out. I have done a lot of testing on this, but without changes on the MP part this cannot be "fixed". Phew, Herman

Country: | Hi, First of all - great tool, it fixed all my problems with stand by. I have however one last problem to make things perfect: I can not set things up in a way that my system goes back to standby after a recording. I am using TVE3 and the latest SVN on a Vista 32bit System. Hibernating and waking up to record works like a charm. When I use the idle function in MST, my system constantly goes back to hibernate, even during the recording and no matter what I use for powerscheduler in the MP setup, it doesn't go into hibernating after the recording (or when leaving the system idel in basic home screen for that matter). I am using MP on a single system setup. It would be grat if someone could give me a hint. Thank you Sebastian |

Thats the reason it is blocked on systems running only MediaPortal and no Microsoft Media Center. The only solution is to disable it. At the moment I a working on a Vista compatible release, once that is finished I will probably start on an MediaPortal update. Things I will take a look at: MP on Vista, include MP in the idle detection and a restart option for TVE3. Herman

| Portal Member | hi hveijk, i allready did use the devcon tool.....and it works perfect before going to standby....but after resuming from s3 i cannot restart the bda tuner driver. i have to devices in my hw manager. a card driver and the tuner driver. i can restart the device driver.....but when i look in the device manager after restarting with devcon i see that the tuner driver is not working anymore.....error message 10 the device can not be started.... any idea?? the devcon tool seems to be a good start to solve the problem.....if it would just resatrt the tuner driver. |
