Mediaportal 1 RC3, but 0.2.3.0 splash screen????

I've just installed Mediaportal 1 RC3 ontop of version 0.2.3.0.
The splash screen showed version 0.2.3.0 so I uninstalled Mediaportal and indstalled version 1 RC3 from the beginning (with no Mediaportal installed).

I still have the spalsh screen stating version 0.2.3.0 when I start Mediaportal, but the correct splash screen (1.0.0.0 RC3) when i start the configuration.

Is it only a simple text error or is there something wrong with my installation?

It is possible to seen at list of which skins that supports version 1 RC3?
I use Xface but it shows "the current skin is outdated".

There is something wrong. If you are on Vista this is probably being caused by the VirtualStore feature see:
Tim Anderson’s ITWriting - Tech writing blog Peeking into Vista’s virtual store
If there is a MediaPortal directory in there then you probably want to delete the contents. Doing this may lose some config depending on which files are in there. I've had the same problem with RC2 and RC3 (but RC3 seems to be better)....
