Default Metadata in Recorded TV files?

Does MP save any metadata to its recorded DVR-MS files - like show name, channel, etc?

There is one particular tool that organises DVR-MS files that it has compressed in to folders and renames files by title and episode, but I don't think this works as there is no metadata in the files that MP produces. Is there any way to do this?

Speaking of file formats, are we still seeing a change from DVR-MS (which would make this whole post pointless)?

Hey cool, I just stumbled across the new naming section under TV. Should provide hours of fun setting up new naming and paths 8)

Thanks, but as you said there is not metadata there containing the show information. Its kept in the SQLite db.

But what I want to know is how does the DVR-MS file link the DB entry to get the description in MP??

Can somebody tell me what the number is after 'p' ?
example = Boomerang_Captain_Caveman_200604131332p4329.dvr-ms
Channel =Boomerang
show =Captain_Caveman
date/time =2006/04/13 13:32
p = ???
It doesnt seem to link to any db records...
