Default Move SQL database

Is it possible to have a SQL database built from the various directories, as I find browsing by directory quite slow. Also have several hard drives, so rather than just one big "movies" and "TV Shows" I have several.

A bit like Squeezebox music database. Music can be anywhere, and browsing is really quick

Any of the database views do just this. If you have already scanned your directories in configuration (e.g. Movies->Database->Scan tab) , then you can switch view to "Title" rather than "Share".

Cheers didn't spot that, however it has several instances of the same TV series.

A couple of options:

1) (what I do) You can stack the files. Go into the movie database editor tab, delete all but one of the records for a series. Then edit the remaining one and add multiple video files to it. Personally, I keep one record for each season, and stack the files by season.

2) Check out the My TVSeries plugin. Handle episodes and seasons is exactly what this plugin is designed to do.

Doesn't seem to work that well, probably because of file naming. Would it be possible to create a database, then the files under that directory in that list, just from the directories alone? For example I have

C:\TV Series\Mash
D:\TV Series\Friends
E:\TV Series\Alias

As it is you would have three listings in My Videos, but if the database could do this

\TV Series
Alias
Friends
Mash

....I thought this is what the TV Series plugin was supposed to do?
