| I searched the forum, but I wasn't able to get a definitive answer on this. I have an ATI AIW 2006. In ATI's Catalyst Control Center, I can set my secondary display (another LCD) to extended desktop. Then under Video/Theater Mode, I can set the secondary display to show full screen movie playback. Using any other media player (PowerDVD, VLC, Media Player), when I play a video, I have windowed playback on the primary display, and fullscreen playback on the secondary display. With MP I can only get movie playback on the primary display, and blank screen on the secondary display. I want movie playback on both screens, so dragging the window over won't work. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!! |

Country: | To make this possible you need the old overlay mode. That mode is not available anymore in MediaPortal. So there is no way to use this way of overlay cloning like ATI and nVidia still offer in their current drivers with MediaPortal.

| Thank you. I would like to use MP in a dual display automotive environment, where the primary display would retain control of the apps, including MP, and the secondary display would just display movies. Is there anyway to do that with MP? |

I am after exactly the same functionality that the OP is after. I have an additional problem though, I cannot manage to get MP to start in full screen mode at all now, even when I drag the MP screen over to my TV and press Alt+Enter only my PC monitor goes full screen ![]() | |
