Default MP takes 10 minutes to load!

When I first started using MP a couple of weeks ago it would load within 30 seconds or so, but a few days ago it suddenly started taking 8 to 10 minutes while it displays "starting plugins". The disk is very busy during this time and the CPU is also fairly busy. I'm not sure what I have done to cause this. I'm pretty sure I haven't enabled any additional plugins in the config, and I have no idea where to look to resolve this. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ross.

Hi!

If you take a look in the Mediaportal.log, you can see which plugin needs so much time. Better you post your logs here, so a anyone can take a look in the log and point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the pointer. I wasn't sure where the log was but found it. The problem was due to me dumping 20gigs of audio files in the Videos/Unsorted Media folder. I intended to move them later. I've now moved the files to the Audio\Music folder and MP loads in normal time.

However, I now have a problem where selecting Music in the MP menu does not do anything. It refuses to load. Is there perhaps some limit in the number of music folders?

I went into MP Config and told it to rescan the music folders which it did, but still won't load in MP. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ross.

Hi.

There's no limit for folder as far as i know. I,ve about 30 Gig in my music folders without any issue on start, so this should not be the/your problem. You're sure you mapped your main music folder in MP config??
