| Hey... I have so far used VMC, only Because of the MyMovies plugin -To watch my -mkv and Iso movie-files. I have searched for programs like that i can use in MediaPortal, but i can't find any ![]() Following solutions have been tried: - I have tried Moving Pictures (Can not compare to MyMovies, what so ever, and lacks so many features, that i dont want to use that program at all!) - Further more i have tried MyFilms, which is actually a pretty good program (Besides i can get it to load my video files, but that is properly my own error..) Furthermore i can't see which program i can use it with, i have tried severals (Also my old MyMovies) But everytime i have to export an XML for the program to read... Very anoying! I was hoping to get the MyFilms to work, then it could replace MyMovies. But still it's nothing compared to MyMovies. No trailer view inside each movie category (Major Plus! No searching, or needs for other program in your media center, just press trailer inside each movie "folder") No auto add movies inside the media center. Mymovies just "pops-up" with a new movie have been found, and if i would like to add it to the database, and if youre unlucky and the program did not add the correct movie, it can be easely edited in the MyMovies media center menu. ![]() Anybody knows anything about an MyMovies / MediaPortal integration going on? Or at least could help with getting Myfilms running correct? Or knows about any other Movie program i should know about / And tryout? |

Country: | Well, there is nothing better... at this moment, if you have tried both Moving pictures and MyFilms. MyFilms is in some ways more mature, has been around for much longer. Moving Pictures is still in (early) beta. Personally I am very happy with the functionality already present in Moving Pictures. If you have some patience, I am quite confident it will reach your expectations. |

Country: | If you could drop in to the Motion Pictures forum and list the features you think it lacks, with some explanation of the function, maybe you can help in it's development. There is already quite a lot of features they have planned to add, but it doesn't happen overnight, or in a vacuum. Its feature list, to date, is promising, but it can be much more if there is interaction with the users. best regards Chuck |

Country: | What you could try today is use MyFilms in combination with AMC Updater, if you did not already. AMC Updater should be run every time you add new movies, and it will automagically create the XML file you need to use in your MyFilms configuration. To be honest, if you are not satisfied with the MP solutions at this moment, maybe it is better you stick VMC for a while longer, and just monitor the Moving Pictures thread until it satisfies your needs ![]() |

And as far as i can see in the AMC updater, i have to input a path to where my Profiler save it's XML file? But my profiler (Ex MyMovies) Does not save an XML file for the database? Thats only when exporting the database? | |

Country: | There's a new version up: AMC Updater v0.8.0 Now Available! MyFilms works with the XML that you export from Ant Media catalog. AMC Updater skips the database step and makes this xml file straight away. Just tell AMC updater where to make this file, then tell MyFilms where to find this file. Okay, it is a bit more complicated than that, but I am sure you can figure it out ![]() AMC actually can work with xml files as well... |
