Default Poor sound on DVD's inside MP but not ouside MP

hi,

maybe someone can help.

i use cyberlink power dvd to play movies from my drives

when i play a movie outside MP -- the sound is clear

when i play inside MP it is barely audible

I have creative X-fi platinum and 7.1 speak config.

i am not that knowledagable on the codecs -- anyone got any suggestions?

Your MP Settings are? Which Audio/Video Codec are set in DVD Config? Try changing those to whatever is available for your system.

exactly the same as with the movies option.

the renderer i have chosen is SB x-fi audio ...but to be honest i have tried them all.

the codec i have to choose from (drop down list in setup dvd option) are :

mpa audio decoder (current choice)
dscaler audio decoder
nvidia audio decoder
cyberlink audio decoder
cyberlink mpeg muxer

again i have walked thru each choice...to no effecvt

i just cant figure out how cyberlink works well outside MP but not inside it

Make sure you are checking the graph with graphedit when the video is playing. I usually choose Nvidia audio.. but it will use MPA if you don't watch it.

run cyberlink and use graphedit to see what filters it uses
run MP NOT in fullscreen mode to see what filters MP uses

compare both graphs and try to get MP to use the same graphs
