Default QAM Tuners for US

What QAM tuner cards work with MediaPortal? QAM is the encoding of digital cable signals in the US (64-QAM and 256-QAM). I have been searching the forums, but I can't find a list of what will/won't work. Someone mentioned that a DVB-C card is what I will need, but is this for use in the US for digital cable signals?

Here are a couple of cards that claim that they can get QAM signals:
myHD Card: http://www.ramelectronics.net/html/hdtv-cards.html#myhd
Dvico FusionHDTV5: http://www.fusionhdtv.co.kr/eng/Products/RTLite.aspx
KWorld? http://www.saveateagle.com/kwd-ats11...-V34&ovtac=CMP

Any recommendation on QAM tuner cards (that work in MP) would be great. Thanks!

I have added initial support in TVServer for QAM for BDA cards...

i.e. Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1800

What about the HVR 1600? Any plans to support that? Or does this update already support it? I'm planning on buying one very soon.

Is there anyway to change the range of the channels that the ATSC/QAM scanner scans? My cable company has all of their Clear QAM channels from 100 to 119 and the scanner in TVServer stops at 99

I just purchased a 1600 and can't wait to test... If this card works out for me, I will then return it and replace it with a 1800 (PCI-E - The small one). I only have 2 PCI slots and they are both being used by cards right now (PVR-500 and DVB-S) I will take out the PVR-500 and use this because it has both analog and ATSC/QAM.

I tried calling my cable provider and they don't have any clue what QAM even is. But looking around, I found several people who have the same provider in my area that are getting QAM. Can't wait to test this out!

Thanks again DMAN!

After posting this and then looking at Bobby's post... looks like I might be in the same boat...

HVR-1600 & 1800 should now work.
Some cable providers don't broadcast channel names so you'll have to manually adjust them to match your EPG source.
