Default Question From Dumb Newbie - Sorry!

Hi guys,

First off can I just say that this program is absolutely amazing and everything I have been looking for. Media Centre was just not quite good enough, but this is perfect.

My question is this:

I have a folder where I keep my videos. In setup I have told it look in that folder, BUT i also have an external hard drive, where I have another 1000 or so movie files, but I cant seem to get it to bring up the contents of both. Is it just that Media Portal can only search one folder for movie files?? If not, how do i get it to show me the contents of both. Sorry to be obtuse. Help would be greatly appreciated

Add the folder in setup and select one of them to be the prefered entry point. Then you have to go up one more folder level (..) and then you can see all the "shares" you have configured including any CD / DVD Drive you have.
