Replicating movie database

Does anyone know how to replicate / share the movie database information between computers. I particularly want to replicate the status of whether it has been watched as well as the stop point. I can get it to do a one way replicate from a master server to the clients but this is only good for the cover art etc. I want to be able to watch part of a movie on one pc an then go to another pc and pick up from there. I am running Media Portal RC2. Maybe there is somewhere I can change the path to one single location for the database?

I found a registry value that I feel should do it but it does not make any change.

HKLM\Software\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\ConfigDir

I change the value to my custom value but it just stays the same.
