Country: | If MP had UPnP capabilities does that mean it would work with other htpc software, Mythtv for example?? That way users could choose their favorite backend and favorite frontend and mix and match!!

Country: | No, there would be much more to it. UPnP, if I am correct, is simpy a easy way of navigating around networks without having to open ports etc. UPnP is designed to simplify the way software and devices communicate with eachother over a network. There is, however, a UPnP AV standard which is designed to allow these devices to share/stream media to one another - which is what I guess your post is about. Im not too sure of the technical issues here though. |
