Use with a touch screen

This has been touched on (ahem) in some other threads including here and here, but I haven't yet found an answer about whether there is a suitable skin for a 7" touch screen or indeed whether anybody is using such a thing with MediaPortal.

I have a Zalman HD160XT case, and I'm able to get MP to run on the built-in screen. The biggest issue for me is that in the default skin, the main menu scrolls too fast for me to be able to reliably select Music, DVD, etc. There are a few other things which could be optimised for touch screens but that's the main snag.

So, anyone have a suitable skin or any advice for me? I *am* able to code in C#, by the way, but I don't do graphics, nor do I expect to be able to become an expert in this massive codebase any time soon - not least as I'm still setting up this new system!!

Hi,
I am a touchscreen user myself and no, there is no special skin for it.
In previous MP versions there was a Home Plugin where you could configure the Home screen to not scroll and define the levels for it (4 items for example. one like Music opening a new page with items "Radio" and "Music files" and so on).
This has been removed with version 0.2.2.0.

If u are a talented programmer I know there are many guys waiting for somebody coding a new home plugin where one can switch off scrolling and define own item structure.

I'm thinking of getting the AHAnix version of the case.
Is there a power off button for the 7" screen?

in all new ver 2 you have off button, but minus is standby mode, when picture is off but LCD still on (black/grey)

btw http://www.ahanix.com/products/mce/mce_701.php is not compatible with zalman and You cant use zini program from zalman to ir remote for Media Portal like zalman users.
