Default Videos - Can I have two? One default to Folders, one to DB?

Basically, I'd like to add a second "Videos" from the main menu, and call it something like "Home Videos". Is there some way to duplicate the "Movies" section, and have a "Movies 2"?

So my main Videos/Movies would be setup to use the database, and would be for movies.

My second Home Videos/Movies would be setup to use folders, and would be for home videos.

The reason is that my home videos don't really make sense to load into the database, and they work best in folder view/stacked. But movies obviously work great in movies view.

Yes, I can just keep changing the view, but that doesn't work well for the wife.

So is it possible to add a second "Movies" section (in MP Config) and a "Home Videos" to the main menu?

Thanks!
-Mark

This is a great idea. I think it could be taken one step farther though where you could on a per share basis set the different modes for a share. One could be for Movies another for Home Videos another for TV shows and yet another for downloaded media that does not fit in any of the categories. You could then set each share or directory to be scanned into its proper database or not scanned at all.

I think the best way to do this at the moment is to use a plugin like "My Films" and have that for released movies and then use the movies menu option for home movies.
I think that's the only way to do this without changes to coding. Otherwise, maybe a dev out there would like this idea and start with it but in the rush to release version one, I think most people are pretty tied up at the moment, sorry.

And Stilger, you could also add the "My TVSeries" plugin as well, for the TV Shows option.
