Country: | I try to keep it short, I've had some problems when i installed media portal under XP Pro. So i switched to Vista but i'm still having problems, first some info: E6600 2048MB PC6400 250GB WD 6500 Nividia P5B Deluxe Wifi AP I've installed: CoreAVC Daemon Tools Ffdshow PowerDVD VSFilter Ater this i installed media portal 0.2.3. Then i installed the SVN 03-07-08 (SVN is sort of a patch right?) TVxb is installed as a EPG, works fine. After configurating the media portal settings, it boots up media portal fine. The problem is when i open My TV the screen jumps back to my desktop, but i hear the sound of the live tv. And when i press back or stop the media portal menu reappears. When he jumps back to the desktop media portal does keep the focus because i cannot do anything on the desktop with the mouse. The problems i had with XP were quit similar, but then the tv showed a black square not full screen and again i could hear the sound of the tv. The tv card is a Hauppage MCE500, which works fine under Media Center XP en Vista edition. But i'm so impressed by the features of media portal that i would you to use this. Little side note my girlfriend is getting a bit annoyed, because no she cannot record and watch something called GTST. Similar to as the world turns . So help i much appreciated otherwise i have to go back to media center ![]() O English is not my native language, so i apologise for any mistakes made. Feel free to ask any questions if some information is missing or unclear due to my english. |

I'm not using a TV-Server i think, i use TVxb and that combined with a website called tvgids.nl works fine. The way that works is, the website is a tvguide site. And the grabber (TVxb) grabs the channels there. Then i import them in to my channel list (copy from guide option), last thing i do i set the analog frequenties and it normally works like a charme. Here in the Netherlands a lot of people use this way. But this morning when i tested MP with a snapshot, i just did a quick scan on my tv card (so i didn't even install that TVxb) and used does channels and the problem is still there.

Country: | Are all drivers the latest, does video playback work fine. Have you changed font size to 120dpi within windows. Have you got exclusive mode enabled under vmr9 setting, or are you using EVR as renderer, try both. Next try using MPTestTool from the Start menu and reproduce your problem, then upload the produced zipped file using forums go advanced + feature

Yes i've changed my font size to 120dpi, is that the problem? VMR9 setting, I don't really know what you mean here. Where and what exactly do you want my to change and test? I've never used MPTestTool, i'll look in to that.

Country: | If you suffer from tearing in video, this overcomes it.
