Widescreen or no widescreen in main use?

Hi,

since lately there have been many skins released either for 16/9 or 4/3 I would like to know which kind of screen you are using with MP? This may give skinners a clue if it is still worth to create their skin for both screen-types.

As there will be users which have more as one screen I will add the option "Both" into the poll. This means that you have at least one Widescreen and one Non-Widescreen in your household.

I have added "both" although 16:9 widescreen is much more important to me.

this may be a little biased but i think the majority should be aiming for widescreen skins as more and more content is going to be widescreen

That's why I did this poll, to know if it is still usefull to have both versions.

Interresting poll

But it think that the widesceen % will rise fast in the coming years.
I don't know anybody that is going to buy an new tv that and is not going to choose for a widesceen.

I could be wrong but 4/3 going out fast.

Thats all right, but it is interesting how the percentage is currently, since it won't help if you have a 4/3 and no skin left for it now...

I voted both, because although I mainly use a 40" LCD, I also like to use my non-widescreen laptop.

i have a 42" widescreen plasma tv but use a 4:3 skin as the channel icons in MyTV are too small with a 16:9 skin.

Here in South africa a semi decent/bad quality 30' lcd is stil 3 to 4 times the price of a 74cm crt tv.

So it will be a year or so till i can let the expense of a lcd/plasma make sence.
