| Movies on media portal connected to lcd tv (1280x768) via vga looks worse then played via standalone dvd player connected via scart. is this normal. windows xp prof pentium 4 3 ghz 1024mb mem Radeon x1300 256 mb 2 x 160 gig s-ata Latest drivers Latest media portal nvidia pure video decoder

Country: | You'll need to tell us some more information for a more detailed answer. In this respect, Codecs play the most important roll. Also, different brands of Gfx cards have different quality outputs, but most modern ones should be good. Can you use DVI instead? That should give slightly better results. You can also play with ffdshow post processing, which is designed to give on the fly improvements to your movie files. Do some searching for FFDShow and for the support template. There has been a lot of talk about the best settings for FFDShow recently, and your PC should be more than powerful enough for the extra CPU cycles that this uses. |
