The XBMC community has just ported some parts of XBMC to the PC I just want to know how this will affect the development of other HTPC application the port has some limitation but its a light weight comparing to MP I'm not trying to inflame a war here just want to know if MP developers can use some of there features to inhance MP.

I dont think there will be much effect.... there isnt much (if antyhing) that the XBMC pc version does better than MP from what I see...

It is aimed at plugin/skin developers... thats it, not meant to be a full port, nor functional for end users... (this is what the main news item on the xbmc site says)...

So nope, I dont think MP will be affected at all...

MP got affected already. It borrowed the animations from XBMC.
