Country: | This is a replacement plugin for users that use dukus coolremote plugin. With this one you can use all remote buttons (on the blue model) and you can start mediaportal by pressing power button on your remote. To get the plugin go to http://coolreciver.sourceforge.net there you can download and find the installation instructions. For this plugin to work you must install WinfastPVR and Winfast Wizard must be running (tray app). Coolremote plugin made by Dukus must be disabled. I hope you will enjoy using coolreciver and mediaportal. Regards. |

Country: | Hi Saba, I'd be interested in knowing what your PC setup is as I have a windows XP / Core 2 machine with Leadtek XP2000 Deluxe card. I can't get it to run reliably. Changing codecs helps a bit but it hogs way too much CPU. I've installed your Add-in but the remote doesn't want to respond except the Power button. It works OK with WinfastPVR. Also the older version of WinfastPVR 3.1.1.2 seems to work better (MP doesn't crash so often) than the latest version WinfastPVR 4.1.1.2.4 Regards mckzoo |

Country: | Hi mckzoo, I have win xp SP2 CPU is duron 750 and Leadtek XP2000 Expert (with the blue remote) with GF 2 MX 400, i have problems to but they are because I don't have DX9 graphic card (I think). MP is a bit slow but so is my PC. If you installed plugin correctly then you should have yourpathtomediaportal\mediaportal.exe (this is just for reference it is not in my plugin) yourpathtomediaportal\plugins\process\coolreciver.dll yourpathtomediaportal\plugins\process\winfastpvrdouble.exe yourpathtomediaportal\InputDeviceMappings\defaults\coolreciver.xml you also need to have installed Winfast PVR (and wizard must be running). Plugin must be enabled (dukus coolcommand plugin must be disabled) and you sholud check key mappings. By default, when music/video/dvd/tv/etc. isn't playing, you use Ch+ and Ch- for Up and Down, Vol- and Vol+ for left and right, you select by pressing enter and you go back by pressing recall. btw. I use WinfastPVR 3.0.x.x and you misspelled my nick ![]() |

Country: | Hi seba (got your nick right this time !) I've just manually installed all the files into the location you specified and IT ALL WORKED. Have now got it to work I then managed to press a few buttons and got the Blue Screen of Death - pretty rare on XP! I've still got the fundamental problem that I can't get the TV function to work with the Winfast card. I've tried a number of different Codecs but I still get "No Signal" when I click on the TV window in MP. Doing a Scan picks up the channels BUT without showing any video. There's something really screwy go'in on. I've also purchased Hauppauge PVR 150 card and it works fine. The winfast card works well when I run the Winfast TV application. Any ideas ? Thanks mckzoo |

Country: | Yeah, I know the problem (watching tv in mp). Since mp team decided to use timeshifting always, (even though I don't need it) I stoped using MP for watching tv, my PC is to slow for that. That's way I built repleacment for Winfast rm application so I could start MP and Winfast PVR from bed with remote. Something is seriously wrong with XP if you get BSD. I think that your PC needs a clean installation of Windows. After that install SP2 (if you don't have it integrated)and the newest drivers. Also you might try to use MP with just one TV card (delete other in configuration)to see if that helps, and check if you assigned channels to proper TV card. Country: | I have a XP 2000 Deluxe with a white remote and this plugin work with it. I haven't checked if all the buttons work but that will probably just need a mapping change. Good work |
