this plugin is exactly what I need...but for whatever reason I can not seem to use it.

I don't have a keyboard.xml file. So when I click the update button it gives me an error. I have whatever is the latest download of media portal.

Where does this version store the keyboard shortcuts?

Hi Jayhovah,

Your keyboard.xml file is saved in Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\InputDeviceMappings\defaults.

I replaced the one that is present with Stanik's keyboard.xml (page 1 of this thread). I placed this in the above folder. I then started to alter the file accordingly - see my previous post.

Ask if you need further help.

Thanks for your reply, armyofme.
For some reason I don't have this file... I don't know why. I even uninstalled/reinstalled MP. I have files for all other remotes and things, but for some reason I don't have a keyboard.xml. I even tried downloading RC3, but still no keyboard.xml. As of right now, I am using autohotkey to remap the hotkeys from my crappy MCE clone remote into the default shortcuts for MP.

Strange. What happens when you put Stanik's keyboard.xml file in the defaults folder? Does this plugin recognise it?

So what happens when you try ctrl-alt-i with the plugin enabled? I take it it does nothing?

Hi there!
everything works pretty fine with some unknow remote control from Abit sound card. in fact i've spend all day trying to tune it until i found this plugin.
note that in FullScreen mode mapping doesn't work if action condition is "No condition" (default). so on every button there must be an action with condition "Window" in radiobox, "Fullscreen Video" in combobox below and the same action with condition "No condition". it wasn't obvious for me so maybe it will be helpful for others...

Great plugin. Thanks rsenden.

I was having problems with an MCE clone remote (YaoCoo) which basically interpreted the IR via USB receiver as keyboard commands (unformtunately not all the same as MPs default key mappings), so I constructed a mapping and posted it into the thread discussing this problem here in case it helps anyone else.
