Default iPhone/iPod Touch remote control using CommandFusion

I am currently evaluating Media Portal as a replacement to Windows XP MCE and have a spare iPod Touch that sits doing nothing. So i thought i would try putting together a very simple remote control using CommandFusion (an app from the AppStore).

So far i have got the basic controls working. All it really does is setup a tcp client/server so that you can send command between the iPhone/iPod and your computer. Currently it just sends commands that are activated on the computer as keyboard key presses. So nothing too fancy!

However, what i am interested in knowing, is whether there is any way that i can get from Media Portal the currently running plugin (eg. TV, Music, etc...) so that i can change the display on the remote.

If anyone knows of an answer then please let me know as soon as you can!

Thanks
