Plugin for Spotify

H3pp,
I recently started listening to music using Spotify and I thought I should look into making a Spotify plugin for MP. The question at hand is - have anyone already started making such a plugin? I havn't coded a MP plugin before, and I guess it takes some doing.

Haven't checked out pandora.
But Spotify is a thing of beauty.
See it as an almost unlimited database of music.

Type in you favourite artist in the search bar. And presto. All the albums are there for your immidiate enjoyment.
It's so good that I'm considering dumping all my stored music files (70000 songs or so) and just use this service 24/7. (Ok not yet

.)
It streams all in Ogg Vorbis 160kbit/s so the quality is pretty decent.

It does not seem to work in the US due to licensing restrictions.

Sorry, don't have any invites.
One can buy a premium service (SEK 95kr) for a month. It will after that month is up revert back to a standard free service.

Just started using it also.
I think its great.

I saw i guide on the internet to get in without invites.

A nice Spotify pluging is exactly what MP needs

But Spotify isn't open source, is it? Wouldn't that be a problem?

But still, you go make that plugin, good luck (Not sarcastic).

Hmm, well.
Seems like time to get started then. I hope I can find out how to connect to the Spotify network soon - if it's even possible at all. I'll keep you posted about the progress.
