Country: | Hi I've been using the MyMusicVideos and MyTrailers plugins for a while with out any problems. Having made no changes to my system at all. I find that both are now suffering choppy playback "as if they are not downloading the data quick enough" however I have an 8192 downstream. As I say everything was ok until about 3 days ago? when for no reason it just started behaving really bizzare. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any help! |

Country: | Hi Sorry I haven't got back to you quick, got bogged down at work. Also can anyone tell me how to provide a log? I have done a few tests, on my main PC I can stream no problem, even when the media PC is having problems so I don't believe it's bandwidth (8MB) and I don't think it's down to Yahoo being too busy! I do perhaps think it's an issue with the media PC. Does anyone agree that this could be caused by the awful 1.8GHz Celeron I am using? Thanks Yogiman |

However if I use the Yahoo player to view exactly the same files I have no problems at all at 500k Does this help? Thanks Yogiman! (Tired been up all night working on this one again, really need a wife). Last edited by yogiman_uk; 2006-10-23 at 12:39.. |

Country: | Hi yes as you can see by my 1st post I had no problems until mid august when it just started causing problems. Over the weekend I have done a full re-install of my system using the new 0.2.1.0 feature release but sadly the problem is still there. I have also done an experiment playing trailers and music video from yahoo's site for 5 hours straight and using the yahoo players there is no issue at all, as soon as I try to do this using MP and either the music or trailers plug-ins everything goes pare shaped.! So this does suggest an issue with the plugins / streaming engine? don't know, I am not going to pretend I know! We must wait and see what the clever developers tell us! Yogiman! |

Country: | Hi RTV Thanks for getting back to me! You nice man you ![]() That is a little difficult to explain but I will try. The audio is continuous. The video will start ...... then stop for quite a while, I would not say it was buffering as it appears to be quite a long time. The video then starts again. However I have had occations when the video stops and may only start again towards the end of the track! It does not actually buffer it, it behaves almost as if it doesn't know how to process the video! I have noticed that if I drop the bit rate down to 300 it does help although the audio and video do tend to go out of sync. This is a little odd because if I use the Yahoo player I can set it at 500 no problem! Does this help? Thanks Yogiman! Last edited by yogiman_uk; 2006-10-25 at 13:42.. |

Country: | 1. Update to latest svn 2. open your mediaportal.xml 3. find
4. add
5000
below 5. test again. 6. if unsuccessfull try different values like 2000 or 15000 (msec) 7. report back ![]() |
