Hi!

This is a Wikipedia-Plugin to search the free online encyclopedia Wikipedia from within MediaPortal.

Well, it took me quite long to work on it again, but now I did. Good news is that I checked an initial release to SVN today. It will be available with tonight's build.

This version CAN NOT:
-Handle images from the articles
-Use any other skin than BlueTwo
-Use other local Wikipedia sites than the one you'll see there.
-Be used with keyboard or remote (didn't get the skinning stuff to work and waiting for help ;-)). Best is to use it with a mouse yet.

This version CAN:
-Let you search for articles and display them
-Let you choose from all links from an article and display the link's article
-Switch between 6 different local Wikipedia Sites

Please wait with localization some days as I think some strings will be added or changed.

If you find articles that are not displayed correct, please post the logfile here (using MP pastebin).

If you want your local Wikipedia added just ask kindly ;-)

Hehe, in the current status it definately should NOT go into CVS. Needs a lot improvement first. Well if there is enough interest I might continue working on it after christmas...

I have some suggestions for improvement:
* some terms in Wikipedia end up in a redirect page. It would be better to follow this redirect
* the sequence of the buttons is disturbed; using my remote it's impossible to reach all buttons! (tried in several skins)

Yes, please continue on this Pugin.
It's great to have this as a stand alone plugin.

yes, keep this as a single plugin. I don't use the web plugin, but having a wikipedia access with my remote control from the couch is just too wonderful!
