Same problem here, After starting MP I can see the task bar.. I think is after the change "mediaportal startup screen show "no responce" "Fixed splash screen occasionally displays "not responding" on Vista" build 18886

only way to fix is yo use "MpFocus"...

I'm using windows Vista

I HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM...
IN SPLASHSCREEN.CS ON LINE 108 YOU HAVE TO RENAME //Application.DoEvents();.. THIS WAS INTRODUCED ON BUILD 18886

Note:

Default Settings not persistent

This is not a new issue, but as it still exists I will post it here anyway.
Setting changes done via settings plugin are sometimes reverted after restarting MP.
I found this for example on text scolling speed and audio codec for tv.

Regards,
grubi.

Hi,
Those settings works fine here & are always saved & not reverted, so start a bug report & describe as much as you can(what your doing, step by step & attach logs + system specs, maybe something shows up which i don't do or use).

Roy

Can't find any channels via search.
Timeshifting cannot be startet because of an "Unknown error".

I just read it. I am sorry I didn't use the search before nagging

I have got a very hard problem with Mediaportal01 and TVServer01.

After 1 to 5 minutes timeshifting the server crashes (nice bluescreen) every time! I get this behaviour with RC1, svn 1 and svn 2. Recording is no problem, I autorecord daily a TV series, no promblems while recording or with the recordings. I changed the mainboard from client two to the server and reinstalled Vista (on a raid0), I got the same problem. Then I disabled the raid and installed Vista on one S-ATA Drive, I got the same problem. So it need to be a Vista, Vista SP1 or a Mediaportal problem. I installed the newest drivers for my hardware.

On the Server I use xampp and mediaportal. Sometimes Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 for using Windows 2000 and some Office programs like Openoffice, GIMP, Inkscape.

My hardware and software now:
Server: AMD Athlon 64 X2 BE-2400, Asus M2A-VM HDMI ( ATI 690G/x1250), 2GB DDR2, WD 320GB, 2x FloppyDTV S2 (DVB-S), Hauppauge Nova-T Stick (DVB-T), Win Vista Business SP1 all updates
----
Client 1: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ EE, MSI K9N SLI Platinum (nForce 570 SLI ), 2GB DDR2, 1x WDSATA 160GB RE2, NV Geforce 8600GT, Creative Audigy 2 ZS, Win XP Pro SP2 all updates
----
Client 2: AMD Athlon 64 X2 BE-2350, Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G (NV GeForce 6150 / nForce 430), ATI X2400, 2GB DDR2, 1x WD SATA 160GB RE2, Creative Audigy 2 ZS, Win XP Pro SP2 all updates

Here are my logs:

HDnewt,
Your problem should be the Realtek NIC Driver.
