Many thanks for the quick fix, I'll try it this evening.
I also noticed that when I uninstalled the plugin the old behaviour reappeared (MP wouldn't start because MPCleaner couldn't find 108 again). Assuming having MPCleaner is not essential, and the extension manager is confused and not...
I recently upgraded from MP1.30 to 1.33 and it would not start - multiple errors from MPCleaner like this:
MP1.33 installs System.Data.SQLite.dll 1.0.117 these days, but MPCleaner still looks for 1.0.108.
MPCleaner did not show in the list of installed extensions for some reason; if it was...
8 years later I had the same problem upgrading from 1.29 to 1.30 - and the same solution worked :)
Problem was caused by tvservice permissions being messed up so the installer could not stop the service - fixed by a neat little program called ServiceSecurityEditor - I set INTERACTIVE and SERVICE...
I noticed in process monitor that it's writing 22k per second to dvbsubs.log (claiming to be from MediaPortal DVBSub3.ax version 1.0.1). After 40 mins this file reaches 1mb size.
I'm not interested in subtitles; is there any way to turn this logging down a bit?
I installed this version on one machine a few weeks ago, and it all went through fine. Today MS SCEP detects Win32/Gatrid.E!plock in the zip file I used.
When I uploaded the zip and MP2-Setup.exe separately to virustotal, only Agnitum detected "Trojan.Shelma!" - results here...
OK, thanks for your help. We use MP on a dual screen pc, with one of us using the keyboard and mouse and the other using the remote. I guess I'll try to find another skin to adapt, although they've all had problems so far like missing recording details, navigation dead ends or overlays that...
Would this feature be better known as 'group by' instead of 'filter by'? Filtering means reducing the visible set, and grouping (the old MP1 terminology) means forming sub-headings to categorise the grouped items. It took quite some time before I worked out that this is why I couldn't sort the...
Ok, thanks.
I was using your rar to get 15 lines, but the missus decided she preferred 11 in the end anyway, so I'll revert to the standard titan skin now I know how to change the lines on it.
Cheers.
Funnily enough, I was looking at my setup a few days ago. It appears I schedule a batch file to run the grabber to a temporary file, then rename it at the end so the new file appears in an atomic operation. I don't believe any other method (like getting it to wait) was implemented, so I believe...
Ok, but there must be some way to wait until the grabber has finished, like opening it in exclusive read mode as detailed here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/685135/open-file-in-exclusive-mode-in-c-sharp
Aha. That explains why so many people (including me) see it working when they press the manual import button, and when the service restarts, but not when their grabber generates the tvguide.xml file to the directory as specified in several guides.
How can I add this extra deployment step to...
Thanks for the updated crystal palace file.
I added 554000 to it as another transponder as suggested here, then the HD (DVB-T2) channels tuned successfully too.
Cheers
