Started 20yrs ago as a programmer working on realtime data feeds for the financial sector. Moved to systems management and networking and eventually ending up as an IT consultant specialising in Networking/Solaris/Thin Client/Vitalization.
Discovered MP in late 2006 after a brief foray with MythTV and have not looked back, very quickly started tweaking - mainly skinning and Basichome editors and now full blown plugins.
