Country: | But we are only talking about the display device, not the internal workings of Media Portal. It isn't limiting the forward movement of core function. Only demonstrating the strengths and versatility of the eloquent design of Media Portal as a "do it all" package. Something that is fully evolutionary as technology changes, but still bridging the gap. I think there is only the challenge of breaking the display information down into smaller digestible chunks for those who wish to keep a clean, managed look to the design for small displays, and those with the larger displays can can spread the information out, allowing more area for larger design elements. And should the personal/portable/pocket display devices gain a larger share of the market, then all those design elements and volumes of instant information all shown at once become unusable.... and the skin will again have to adapt to the immediate needs of the user, but still hold its own for those who don't have the luxury and still have the old, oversized, stationary, 16000 X 12000 pixel panel device covering their livingroom wall. Minimum hardware requirements shouldn't demand only one kind of display device. And one size skin doesn't fit all purposes. But I also concede, that not all skin designs translate well in every case. Monochrome is a design 'concept' that would translate well for 4:3. okay... I'm done too, I'm exhausted. ![]() Chuck Last edited by 2BitSculptor; 2008-06-06 at 13:59. |

Country: | hi-i tried this skin as well as your indigo one, and they both seem to have the same problem (well, what i would describe it as) ![]() in my video, if you have it in any view other than List, you have a hard time selecting icons on the left side. the left hand menu keeps scrolling out and blocking them from being selected. your signature says to tell if it happens in the default skin, and it doesn't since the menu is always visible and not hidden and scrolls out. otherwise, it's a great looking skin. (if this was mentioned already, i didn't go through the 100+ pages of this topic) thanks |

Country: | I think the "Channel four.png" in the logo folder should be named "Channel 4.png", since all the shows on thetvdb.com have it spelled that way. Their website is http://www.channel4.com, and their logo is a big "4". Maybe you have a reason to name it Channel four.png, I don't know. Last edited by thommie; 2008-06-11 at 20:04. |

Country: | Hi, First of all, I really like this skin! I use it as the default skin in Media Portal However, one small question; is it possible to change a parameter in one of the XML files to increase the font size of all screens, in order to improve readability at larger distances from the TV? | Hey, I have a big problem with installing this skin. First of all, what do you mean by "enable plugins", and second, I can't find a single cache map of MediaPortal on my harddrive. I tried to find it in my appllications folder but I can't find it. Even a full search isn't helping. So when I open MediaPortal and I go to Skin, and I change the skin to monochrome, my hole screen (or my MediaPortalWindow) becomes black, and nothing happens When I push the back-button (in order to try to get a working menu-screen) I get a "error"-screen which tells me that an unhandled exception has occurred in my application. When I push the "Details"-button I get this information I hope you guys can help me, and I already want to thanks you P.S. This skin is amazing ![]() Quote:

| I want to have addition clients setup in the bed room and I don't have a 42" 1080p screen in there so yes a 4'3 version would be a good idea. Then there would be nothing stoping the devs for having this as the default skin. |
