Agree... The missing Genre selection, is a major drawback for this plugin...

It's coming, just not in this release... You can't have it all in 1 day.

This is overriden by our new Remote Control Movie Filtering (see notes).
Try to enter a a part of the moviename you are looking for using the remote.

We are aware that this is a hot item for a lot of people. Please keep it mind that we are only at version 0.6 (and beta). However fforde and I discussed it and there's a good chance that the filtering system will be in the next major feature release.

I want to say thanks a lot for that version. I ll try it tonight but i can already say it s a major update!. I ll also try the import feature because right now it doesnt work quite well for me. It doesnt not find the right movie. Hope it s gonna be better.

thanks a lot, this is great!

my wife of course won't be pleased, because i'll pretty much forbidd her to talk to me during the weekend. i just have more important stuff to do now...

one quick question: should i upgrade to rc3 and a recommended svn (i'm thinking of upgrading the monochrome skin as well)? i'm hesitant because the system as it is now works smoothly...

Great Job!
Great improvement in scanning movies and a very high "match rate"
The only thing that makes me NOT use this plugin, is the absence of Filtering the movies, I "only" got 200 movies (i read someone got 700!).
But still, 200 movies, and only one view!? - i miss Genre, Year and so on.
Until this is a possibility i can live with MP's own movie plugin.

Yes I know. That is why I wrote "Just the mention of backdrops being pulled". My question was about using it as main dataprovider, for backdrops, info, covers and everything else.
I can see that issue 169 only talks about Meligrove becoming obselute, and since Meligrove only had Covers, It kinda makes sence. But when I tried searching the issuelist for "moviedb" i got no results, so I just wanted to ask.

That actually happens everytime I search the issuelist, is there some trick to doing this the right way?

Only 5 more hours of work and then I can go home and test it out

Well, before crossing over the stability line, backup!
After that, you can always revert to the working version (stable)

Ok cool, This works well if I know what I want to watch...
But I acnt see what I entered, nor can I go back to the all view...

Also, what if I just want to go to the 'middle' of my collection?
Say I want to see my movies that start with M...
I cant do this now?

I have not managed to use the coverart namned "folder.jpg" that I have in the movie folder.
I tried with restarting MP, use the "check for missing online coverart" function.
I also tried to remove the movie and import it fully again but nothing seems to work.

Is it just me or is this function "broken"?
