Excellent plugin, and one I have been watching for a while - I have tested it though, and would like to offer some constructive critism if I may?

Large Icon view

This is a much better view than standard myMovies, but like myMovies has a weird selection mode - it does not wrap - if you went right to Bank Job with a remote control, right to District 13, right to.....nothing. It loses focus and you have to click back on with the mouse to regain it. You have to press down to get from District 13 to Cloverfield.

List mode seems to be the only version to wrap from a movie beginning with z to back to the numerically named films.

List View

List view has too much of a black border to the film titles in Monochrome, obscuring the art, but I expect this to change with native support in the skins next release - Not relevant to the mod itself, just here as a contrast view.

Film Selection Screen

Once you select a film, it takes you to a screen showing the fan art in all its glory. Unfortunately the fan art makes the text hard to read and looks a little crowded, and the little 'mask' (I think thats the correct terminology) that goes over the movie poster doesnt look right. It may be better framing the IMDB info as its done in the main screen, and possibly losing the movie poster (that was already shown in the previous menu) to ensure the fan art takes pride of place. As shown here in Anchorman it blocks out one of the actors faces.

Sometimes the focus of the fanart is too high and goes over the title like Golden Compass, while Cloverfield is too low.

And other times, its supurb:

May it be better if there is a black top and bottom border, and the fan art take up the centre 80% of the screen with 10% black borders top and bottom?

Pics all taken on a 1080p 40" Sammy for reference.

Once you have a manual add I will be trying it again, and it will very quickly replace my standard myMovies view. Thanks for your excellent mod....

Thats a good point though, on the basichome screen it is totally up to the skinner.
What's the plugin hyperlink that needs to go into basichome.xml to get this to show up on the home screen? Any ideas?

Thanks

Thx a lot buddy, with generic skin on Indigo 4x3 it works even in 800x600!
ok, the DVD covers dont fit exactly, they are all a bit too small but its not distrubing.

one question: where can i change the background pictures?

@ Theydon Bois:
Good comments I agree...
Mostly I do not like the
Director
Genre
Year

So far in the screen, seems to clutter up the fanart indeed.
I do want the cover art on the derails view however....

Hi

I have installed this plug-in and got it to work rather easy.

I have however run into a problem.

When I launch Mediaportal -> plug ins -> Moving pictures, the program starts.

The skin/program is however far to big. It seems that the picture/skin is at least 4 times to big. This means that I can not see all my movies and the background is also far to big.

When chekking the skin setting it says that the width is 1366 and heigh 768 - this should be identical to my graphic card resolution and settings.

Has anyone experienced something like this?? and is there a solution??

Here is an example - the full screen - as you see there must be something wrong with the settings somewhere....

Look forward to hearing from you.

I use large icons view too and have observed the same issue. If you go too far to the bottom right, you lose navigation and need to click back in with the mouse. Probably has something to do with the page up/down function. That's where your "cursor" goes when you do this in My TVServies.

I fixed the problem.

My Skin was not set to wide screen, but normal 4:3. I changed the skin to 16:9 format skin and everything was looking OK.

By now I am working with setting up the moviedatabase. Hopefully this would not bring any problems.
