Country: | I'm pretty much doing them slowly just one at a time. I've gotten SNES games working quite well and my next step is N64 games. Does anyone have a suggestion for what emu to go with? I'm playing with Project64 right now which I like but am having trouble getting it to run from the command line. Any thing better to use or tips on how to get it to work from the command? Thanks |

Country: | Very good plugin, works like a charm! Thanks! EDIT: Had some problem with the GENS emulator returning to Windowed even though I changed the gens.cfg Fullscreen=1. My solution was to set gens.cfg to Read-only. That keeps the game in fullscreen mode next time I start it when I exited with Alt+F4. If anyone have a better solution I would be glad to hear about it... Last edited by Jeinhor; 2008-07-26 at 19:33. |

Q: Which emulators are the best? A: The highest rated ones on http://www.emulator-zone.com/ Q: Why won't ___ emulator work? (Project 64, ePSXe...) A: Here are some common settings Project 64: Uncheck the option "Use quotes in paths". you should grab the latest build here which includes the faq: https://mp-plugins.svn.sourceforge.n...s/MyEmulators/ (output.rar is the package, or you can get any individual files straight from the site) | |

Country: | Thanks for the reply on that, I did find it in the FAQ the next day. However I have noticed a few things. With the quotes option unchecked it doesn't want to work with rom files that have a space in them for what I thought was obvious reasons. The other thing is that if you use Project64 1.7 it works so far with the quotes option checked. The other issue that I ran into that raised some curiosity was that my rom database some how got jumbled where that the shown names got mismatched to the rom location. I had to wipe my rom database and start fresh with it to fix the issue. |

| Portal Member | hmm, most of my roms have spaces in them and they work fine. i wonder what the difference is. i thought too that spaces would be bad but for some reason they dont seem to matter at least for me. i thought the 1.7 beta was only for people who donated, so i havent tried it. but thanks for the tip. ya and on the rom mismatch issue, it sounds like the same thing me and another guy ran into. this is what i wrote on it: It seems when I went into the ROM Database in the My Emulators configuration with multiple emulators installed and sort the roms by name then edit a couple names and save, its like it sorted the roms by name but didn't sort the paths so it saved the wrong names for most ROMs. I had to just delete my myEmulators.db3 file and start over. does that sound familiar or did you not do any editing? wonder if this should be included in the faq. also i wonder if gens just doesnt like being closed with alt+f4, some emulators (like epsxe) have to be closed another way. if you wanted to you could check and see if one of the ones listed on this page that were modified to be closed with the Esc key would be any different. | Portal Member | Just a quick small question in between : I am working on getting MAME running through MyPrograms, cause it was described like that in the WIKI, but I see MyEmulators listed as a "Hot Plugin". Which of the two is preferred to add your favorite Emulators, MyPrograms or MyEmulators? |

Country: | Then it seems like the scrambling of the database occurs after you have sorted the ROMs differently. I have solved this temporarily by not letting the user sort the columns (I took the easy way out...). Anyway, the filtering by genre works now, so could you try it out before I release this version? Download the latest version from the SVN, print something in the genre column in Configuration->ROM Database under some of the games and then press F9 in MP when the games are listed. The different genres you printed in Configuration should be visible here and let you hide every game that is not that genre. I would greatly appreciate it! |

for some reason i was thinking it was gonna be a sort option, but this is cool too. idk if u care about this but if you filter by a genre then pick a different sort option, the filter turns off. also, have you considered adding an alphabetical sort option? cuz its kinda weird having to cycle through the view options to get back to default alphabetical sorting.
