When does MP keep relaunching the emulator and when does it just hang?

If I alt+F4 just after starting epsxe, mp is back, but if I play some first, epsxe is restarted. I switched on debug logging and I think I have a hint, the log is full of: 2007-03-12 14:20:10.109375 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3000 2007-03-12 14:20:10.562500 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3000 2007-03-12 14:20:12.968750 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3032 2007-03-12 14:20:13.125000 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3032 2007-03-12 14:20:26.203125 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3004 2007-03-12 14:20:26.359375 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3004 2007-03-12 14:20:26.812500 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3004 2007-03-12 14:20:26.953125 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3004 2007-03-12 14:20:27.406250 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3004 2007-03-12 14:20:27.562500 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3004 2007-03-12 14:20:48.015625 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:48.156250 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:48.312500 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:48.468750 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:48.609375 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:48.765625 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:48.921875 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:49.062500 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:49.218750 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:49.359375 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:49.515625 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:49.671875 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:49.812500 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:49.968750 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:50.125000 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:50.265625 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:50.421875 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:50.562500 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 2007-03-12 14:20:50.718750 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3003 and in the end just 2007-03-12 14:34:28.234375 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3032 2007-03-12 14:34:28.375000 [Info.][5]: mapping action 3032 2007-03-12 14:37:04.671875 [Info.][MPMain]: My Emulators - Updating emulator with same name: Nintendo 64 2007-03-12 14:37:04.828125 [Info.][MPMain]: My Emulators - Executing: C:\Program Files\1964\099\1964.exe -g "U:\Spel\N64\Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (U) [!].z64" 2007-03-12 14:37:26.515625 [Info.][MPMain]: My Emulators - Executing: C:\Program Files\1964\099\1964.exe -g "U:\Spel\N64\Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (U) [!].z64" 2007-03-12 14:37:45.656250 [Info.][MPMain]: My Emulators - Executing: C:\Program Files\1964\099\1964.exe -g "U:\Spel\N64\Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (U) [!].z64" 2007-03-12 14:37:48.578125 [Info.][MPMain]: My Emulators - Executing: C:\Program Files\1964\099\1964.exe -g "U:\Spel\N64\Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (U) [!].z64" Now I see it was the same with the N64 emulator. Perhaps some of the key presses from the pad is rememberred and triggers the program again? Last edited by hakuna; 2007-03-12 at 14:46.

| Hi, Im using the latest version of mame, I have my joypad enabled in windows and under media portal just incase. But when mame is executed I cannot assign controls using the joy pad. I presume when MAME is ran by MyEmulator it passes the -joy switch? Anyone else had this issue or know what I am doing wrong? |

Country: | Hello together, first off I'd like to thank you Chreekar, for having made this happen... Awesome job! I was able to add all the emulators for my favorite -blast from the past- consoles and added a whole lot of roms to it. One issue that kinda bugs me though is a problem with the rom database, which somehow gets shuffled when i add some new roms to the game directories... see this screenshot: ![]() (This just happened, when i added Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter to the corresponding game directories) Anyone else mentioned this?? _________________________ One more thing: I'm a huge fan of SCUMMVM and trying to figure out, how to incorporate it to this plugin... Sadly my first attempts didn't work out that well... Here is what i tried. 1. I set up scummvm and all the games within 2. I can run the games directly by passing scummvm the game title as a command line switch 3. I set up the scummvm binary in my emulators 4. (And That's where i'm stuck) I was trying to trick the plugin by having files with no extensions and just the game title for a file name so that the plugin would read these as roms and calls the scummvm.exe together with the filename (game title)... But somehow files without an (proper) extension won't get recognised! Can somebody confirm this or (even better) give a solution for this "feature request" ![]() |

No, you have to specify that yourself in the setup.

| Quote: You serious? This would take ages, I have nearly 3000 roms. I was hoping that myEmulators would do what the MAME windows based programs do, and get the name etc however they do it Prolly by matching the zip filename to an internal database which can prolly be got from the internet. Also art, can you display pictures for the Roms? | |
