| Portal Member | Here, updated FAQ. I added some stuff to "Why won't ___ emulator work?" including a link to the thread rkooten referenced. I also added a list of programs to "How can I exit every emulator with the same key press?" that can map key presses to gamepads/remotes, and added notes for ePSXe and ZSNES. Also added a thank you to everyone in these forums since a lot of the stuff in the FAQ is from them, and a date last modified on the bottom. if anybody thinks something should be added or changed, let me know. |

Country: | for the great work both of you!gamingexpert: if you want to, I could give you write permissions to the SVN. That way, you can update the faq and it will automatically be added each time I compile the .rar file. |

| MP Donator ![]() | Download the emulator icons, extract them to C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\myEmulators\emulato rs\ (if using Vista). Name your emulators exactly "Sega Mega Drive O" and "NES". |

Country: | Short and stupid question, but... is it possible to make a ALT+F4 Shortcut onto one of the Remote Control Buttons to exit every emulator? If the Emulator asks if you really want to quit, simply press the OK-Button on the Remote and everything should be fine. Just an idea, don't know if it works cause my Media Center is broken at the moment ![]() |

Q: How can I exit every emulator with the same key press? A: You can go to this site which has a list of emulators that have been modified to be closed with the same key press (esc): http://localarcade.com/screenshotarc...loads_emus.htm Or you can get one of these programs to map key presses to remotes/gamepads and set a button to Alt+F4 to close emulators (although it does not work in every situation, e.g. ePSXe wont save...): JoyToKey (simplest) http://www.oneswitch.org.uk/2/I/JoyToKey/JoyToKey.htm Xpadder (has many options) http://www.xpadder.com/ ControlMK (pretty simple) http://www.redcl0ud.com/controlmk/index.html AutoHotkey (uses scripts) http://www.autohotkey.com/ HIP (main purpose is remotes, has small delay) http://www.byremote.com.au/HIP/ Pinnacle Game Profiler (costs money) http://www.pinnaclegameprofiler.com/ Total Game Control (costs money) http://www.digitaltransforms.com/ Notes: ePSXe has to be closed with Esc. If it is closed with Alt+F4 it won't save the game and the process will still be running. In ZSNES if you go into 'Misc' then 'Misc Keys' and click 'Exit' you can define it as one of your remote/gamepad buttons or a custom key. The exit key for ZSNES only works when a rom is loaded though, not when ZSNES is just sitting idle. | |

| ALL of my emulators have ESC assigned as exit... even zsnes and other ones that don't officially support ESC to close. That was the best way to do things with other frontends. You have to manually edit the zsnes config to get that going, and a couple of other emulators are the same way (atari 7200?). |
