Country: | Hi All, Many thanks to everyone for their feedback on the last beta release. We've put in quite a few changes so your help is appreciated. I've now released v0.7.1 of the AMCUpdater. This release should fix all the bugs reported in the previous version. Documentation is, as always 'coming soon' - don't know when though ![]() One of the major changes has been the way your settings are stored, and adding the ability to save config files which are used to run in batch mode. When you first run this version it'll create you a default config file and will then remember your settings each time you run it. Your old settings won't be imported - sorry! Please report any bugs in this thread so I can keep track. New version is available for download here : https://sourceforge.net/project/show...roup_id=205435 Cheers, OrionHall. |

Country: | I have a feature request: it would be nice if this program could read the DVD label and export it to AMC in the field "Media Label" Also I have a question: I want to update the date field of all my films with the date that the video file was added to the HD. Is it possible? or I have to delete all entries and re-export them? TY |

I looked into grabbing the DVD media label - it seems easy enough using WMI calls. But can you explain how this would help? If you import a DVD by just scanning the d: drive (or whatever) I guess the program would import a single entry into Ant, but there would be very very little information associated with it. For people who copy DVDs to their hard disks the updater is a bit more useful, since you would normally store the copy in a folder named after the film. So I wonder if adding the DVD label would make things any quicker or easier? Let me know what you think - it should be possible to make Ant do that, but given the static structure of a standard DVD disk I assumed it would be easier to import such disks manually anyway. The date field issue should now be fixed when importing. You can also do this manually on the Manual Update tab. Unfortunately I just found a bug in the manual update code I'll get that fixed and will release an update today.Stay tuned! Cheers, OrionHall.

Country: | I think I just found the same bug, Orionhall I went to do a manual update of the URL field (deleting values) for records matching a given value in the 'Media Type' field, and it came up with an "Unhandled exception". |

Bugfix release 0.7.2 is now available in the usual place : SourceForge.net: Files z3us - please try the manual update again. Just ensure that only 'Date' is selected on the Database Fields tab, set which date you'd like (file created date, I guess) and set the manual updater to 'Update Media Data'. Then either check the 'update all records' box or enter parameters to choose which records to update. OrionHall.

When I burn my files in DVD with nero, I use numbers (DVD nș 12,...) to identify it in the disc title, and I also paint that number in the disc surface. I hope u have undestood my bad english and why I think that would be a useful feature for me

| just started using this very handy so far, i'm sure i have lots to check up on and complete but so far, very impressed! just need to get my mediaportal to play hd now actually after playing since it allows multiple locations how hard would it be to implement a duplicate setup? If it ends up with the same movie in two locations it will tell you. incase you missed it? i think imissed out, how can i increase my image quality? it is pulling some pretty crappy images from imdb? Glad you like it ![]() Duplicate Detection - I guess that wouldn't be too hard to implement. I'm not sure how many people would need it though - after all, we're talking about very large files normally and they're hard to miss! I'll put it on the to-do list - it's basically the same logic used at present to locate files which have been moved from one location to another. Image quality from IMDB - the Internet lookup part is still a work in progress. Zebons has been spending a lot of time on getting the scripts right and is constantly trying to make it better. At some point we'll be releasing a GUI which will allow you to easily tweak the Internet grabber scripts yourself. Cheers, OrionHall | |
