Hi z3us,

Please try analysing the file using the 'Tests' tab. If the length is not shown there, then MediaInfo.dll cannot determine that from the file. In that case you could try downloading the latest version of MediaInfo from their website (under Help - Internet Links), although we haven't tested with anything other than the version shipped with AMCUpdater.

Cheers,

OrionHall.

EDIT : Confirmed. MediaInfo.dll v0.7.7.3 can get the runtime from MKV files. Please download this version and put it in the AMCUpdater application directory. I will do further tests and if all is well then this version will be included as standard in future releases.

Ok, I have update the file and now goes ok
Now I have another bug and a feature request:

-Bug: in manual update, if u choose operation scan media data, ant field: any, and operator: Not Exists, it always show a error message: "Value parameter mandatory with single selection"
FR: Would it be possible to export the number of audio tracks to the "languages" field of AMC??? Or to fill it as "dual" if there are 2 audio tracks?
TY

I have 1.7TB of space, so it have discovered duplicates since they are in multiple locations, but its something to get to if you get the chance

Either way this program is bloody awesome,
The fetch needs some work, its returned some odd things for me haha but still, kinks get worked out over time.

thanks again!

Thank you to my Number One Tester

I'll get that bug fixed - should be a simple validation glitch.

I've really never looked much at the language field in Ant, to be honest! It may be easy to add, though I will have to make it configurable so as not to affect others who don't want the feature. I'll look into it.

While I'm writing - I've added your CD/DVD media label feature. Works very well I think, unless you enable it and then scan a hard disk! Not sure how to prevent that from happening really - if you do it like that then every file scanned will end up with the Media Label of whatever disk happens to be in the drive! I'll do a release at some point soon, when I've had some more feedback / bug reports.

Cheers,

OrionHall.

Hi takagari,

Really glad you like it - always good to get positive feedback

Like I said, duplicate discovery should be possible. I'll look into it when I have time - might not be in the next release but we'll see!

Certainly there's work to be done to get the Internet download spot-on. It is of course a never-ending task, with so many sites out there!

Cheers,

OrionHall.

Personally I use "moviename 1of2.avi" or similar and that works for me. The default regex in the program should be this:

[-|_]cd[0-9]|[-|_]disk[0-9]|[0-9]of[0-9]

Which I believe copes with the following scenarios, where _ is a number from 0 to 9:

cd_
disk_
_of_

RegEx really isn't my forte though, but if it's not working for you then please try changing the expression to match your naming. Zebons wrote the default RegEx - maybe he can advise. There's also plenty of Internet sites about Regular Expressions which shoudl be of some help.

Please let me know how you get on!

Cheers,

OrionHall.

hi, I have to say this program is brilliant. I managed to work right away, but when I start update another hard drive it kept saying orphaned files for all of the files resulting in all missing field and can't update anymore. Any clue for how to make it work again?

Thanks

Hi arryo,

Glad you like it! To troubleshoot your problem we need more information - ideally your logfile. If you don't want to post it in the forum then send me a copy by private message; alternately please post full details of what parameters you used in AMCUpdater.

Cheers,

OrionHall.

Hi, I think i solved the problem. I have to uncheck language and subtitle field in Database Field because I think they can be pulled of from the files (most of my files are MKV). But it turned out not. It's unexpected because whenever i use AMC to get information from Files (not from internet), those fields are filled up too. Maybe you could take that into consideration. Thanks again for such a great program. Save me so much time

Hi arryo,

I''m sorry - but I really have no idea what you mean! I can tell you though - the subtitles and languages options don't do anything! I've only just added that functionality - it will be released in v0.7.3, coming soon. And yes, those only really work with container formats like MKV which have the necessary metadata. But at the moment, in 0.7.2 and below, they will not pull any language or subtitle data from your files.

Please post back with more detail if you need help - I'm happy to help if I can.

Cheers,

OrionHall.
