Hello pirlone,
Can you tell us your version of MP ?
And the skin did you use, please ?
Because I have never seen this AutoUpdate button with all official skins of MP.
Thanks.

It's a mistake of mine In an delivery 2.0.1 (i think), I deliver the Blue Two Skin with the button AutpUpdate (The text is not good !!!). This functionnalty should permit to update some items of your database in MP. It's good in MP but if you do so, you cann't read anymore your database with ANT and it's not the purpose :? It's a coding problem of xml file (UTF instead ANSI) ...
For the moment no solution so the function is actually desactiveted invoiding problem.

I tried to make this plugin work (which is exactly what I need, I like the idea of managing movies in ANT and directly see the result inside MP !). Well, it didn't work, whatever I changed in the setup. Symptom : when I clicked on "Films", nothing seemed to happen. Or perhaps something happened and stopped, so nothing is visible on screen, which stays on the menu.

I just tried to use the "sample" database included in ANT distrib... and it works. Perfeclty. So the trouble is probably in the XML file built from my ANT database. Let me say that I fill it since a long time, it has more than 500 items, and it's "as is", with all the fields autofilled by the scripts from IMDB, Allocine, etc. So the XML file could contain something that the parser does not like...

I think I'm gonna try to rebuilt a brand new DB from scracth, being more attentive to what datas are written in it (which is a good idea after all !), to use this plugin !

Man this is the plug-in I was looking for. It overcomes some of the things I disliked with the MyDVD plug-in.

One feature Request though. In MyDVD, the Film Number was visable from the list view screen. With the Films Plug-in, I need to select the movie first then try to play the Film before seeing its number. Can you implement a "sort by number" feature?

Thanks..

Just curious if you tried this plugin? It allows for the import of more than ANT catalog and I know in the DVDProfiler import it does provide what you are looking for.

The only thing you have to do is to request your feature And... It's made  Integrated in next release commin soon
On the same idee than other tools of that plugin this action will be choose in the setup. Here you can add an extra sort item (only one :!: ) and the label associated with.
So you can choose to add a sort by Number if you want or something else for others ... 8) Of course some choices could be ridiculous and with strange results, like a sort by comment by example  but why not ???
Next version will come in fews days. So be patient

Yep, I use this plug-in; however, I use ANT as my cataloging tool for my DVDs. DVDProfiler out of the question for me.

Maybe I said something that caused you to not understand. This plugin CAN import from the ANT catalog (it has to be saved in XML format). See this post to see what I mean. In fact this plugin can import catalogs from three different applications.
