MyLyrics with Shares view?

Hi, I have installed MyLyrics, but I can't get any lyrics displayed. It seems MyLyrics cannot find lyrics for anything from my song collection (cca 2000 mp3s). I don't know why it is, but I suspect the problem to be in the method of retrieving song names. Does MyLyrics read song name from music database only? The point is that I use "shares" view only - I let MP browse folder structure and file names directly, and my music database is empty.
Can I use MyLyrics someway or it can't handle this?

Hello,

MyLyricks works only with the database.
But no problem for you.
You just have to update the database in MP configuration->Music->Database.
You can run MP with "share" and the database is only used by mylyrics.

Thank you for reply. Unfortunately MP fails to update database from shares (that is why I use "shares" view), because some of my MP3s miss ID3 tags. When I try to update the database, many of songs are listed as "unknown" which would not help MyLyrics in identifying them, I guess. Do you know about any way how to make MyLyrics work with file names or how to import file names into database?

Hi,

Sorry but it's impossible. You have to use MyLyricks with the database. And the database has to use the tags of the songfiles.
The fastest way you have, is to use a programm to tag your files like Mp3tag or GodFather (or other software but these two are very good and free).

I hope you don't have to many files.
