No, not yet. It's my hope that the embedding will be rather easy with the new upcoming tag reader. I expect that it will be possible to write direct into the tags using this. If that is not the case, I will have to come up with an alternative.

You'll very likely search for an alternative. The tagREADER wouldn't help you writing. It is also not upcoming since it is Steve's baby and he does only want to implement this after some prerequisites are met which will eventually never be this way This could delay the release for some months at least..

Please see if you can find another code snipped from open source apps writing lyrics tags which might help you.

Okay, I was hoping that the tagreader likewise was able to write, but allright I will start looking for an alternative. It might be difficult to find an opensource component able to handle all types of tags with an lyric field, but we'll see.

I've been working on the configuration of the plugin including a batch-search-mode which works better and better. A new version will most likely be shipped next week.

I don't have any prerequisites for getting this done. I would prefer that the tagreader accompany the music database redesign but it's not absolutely critical that it does--just a preference. I'd love to do it but don't have time ATM. So if anyone is feeling up to the task I'd be happy to send them the tagreader source.

New version ready for download. See details below:

**************************************************
My Lyrics - version 0.05 (released September 21th 2006)
Download it here

Basic features:
- Dynamic search for lyric when playing music file
- Search music database for lyrics (just added)
- Add/delete/edit lyrics database

Issues to consider:
- Complete integration to MyMusic
- Support for .lrc, Lyrics3v1, Lyrics3v2 and ID3v2 files.
- Support for reading lyric tags of music file.
- Alternative ways to display lyrics.
- Less/none dependence of the google webservice
- Support for more lyricssites in multiple and/or different languages.
**************************************************

After uploading I realized that the configuration setup fail to save the license keys and other choices to MediaPortal.xml (seems the path has to be explicitly coded..?). Accordingly, a version 0.06 will follow shortly (hopefully within 48 hours). Still, feel free to report any failures and suggestions for improvements.
