Default fan art question

Well I am not sure what I am doing wrong I have downloaded the fan art pack but I must have unzipped it to the wrong folder to get it to work??
C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Fan Art
is this right?? I still only see the images contained in the mptvseriesbanners folder.
C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\MPTVSeriesBanners

Thanks Brent

Depends on your OS..

If you got Vista you should place fanart here:
C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Fan Art

I think it should work otherwise or do you mean there no images inside the fan art folder? If that is the case extract 'em there.
I'm really having a hard time figuring out what you wrote.

I have windows xp and that is where I have placed the fan art folder.
MediaPortal\Thumbs\Fan Art
all the .png files are in the fanart folder but when I goto mytvseries in mediaportal it is still using the downloaded tvseries images not the images from the fan art folder

Sure you got version 1.1 of the plugin? And does your skin support version 1.1 of the plugin?

Never tried on XP but I guess you could try putting the fanart in mediaportal folder in the %appdata% folder.
%appdata%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\Fan Art
(if there even is a mediaportal folder of course)

It sounds like youre problem is that you have not updated the skinfile or the TVSeries plugin.
You find it here http://www.team-mediaportal.com/file...VSeriesplugin/

Check your fanart file names. I had the same problem until I renamed the files to have the series code at the end. For example, 79335_light_Psych_2.png will not display but Psych_2_light_79335.png does.

Anybody else have that? It shouldnt matter where the id is in the filename and I can't imagin why you would get that behaviour.

I didn't have problems with the id position

But...

@Burnt33

Are you using JPG- or PNG-files?

Fanart drove me crazy until I recognized that the images have to be PNG.

It is all working now. I am not sure what I did other than re install the mytvseries plug in and it works fine. The backgrounds from the fan art pack are working.
Now I just have to find the missing ones I need or make them. ( rescue me and corner gas)
Thanks
